Dear Kavita,

Please try and teach your daughter how to do oil pulling with 5-10ml of water first. Show her by doing it yourself. She must spit it out after pulling. If you are satisfied, you can do it with oil and make her do it along with you with 5ml of oil only. Please make sure you brush her teeth after spitting it out, and wash her mouth with warm water.

If you are satisfied, let her continue doing it and it should help her in reducing wheezing, cough etc.

Best Wishes,
Col. T. K. Rao

You can use any toothpaste / powder that you normally use for washing your mouth after OP.

Brushing your teeth before oil pulling is up to you but definitely brush your teeth after oil pulling.

Greetings:

I have been reading all the wonderful things about oil pulling and have started two days ago. I have had hypothyroidism for decades and take thyroid medication--quite a large dose. Despite that, I have not noticed any improvement: my eyebrows have not grown back; my weight is still bothersome. I experience a generalized sluggishness and malaise. Also, arthritis in my hands is severe. this is difficult as I am an illustrator. Therefore, I have started OP with canola oil and hope to experience some of the wonderful improvements I have read about.

Sandy,

Please experiment with a different brand of oil or even a different type of oil such as sunflower oil. This might help you overcome the gag reflex.

You have not indicated the dental problem for which you are doing oil pulling.

Oil Pulling is known to

1, Fix the loose teeth
2. Remove the scales on the teeth and make them white.
3. Remove sensitivity and pain
4. It makes the gums healthy and removes any infection.

Regards,
Col.T.K.Rao

Divya,
Please do oil pulling with refined Sunflower oil or gingelly oil once daily in the morning. It may take atleast 3 months before you can notice any change in the color of the hair.

I have just begun oil pulling. I am using sesame oil. Have you heard of people having a gag reflex when they first start? I have not been able to do it for the recommended time but I want to continue. Some dental problems led me to look for answers and I found several websites on the subject. I would appreciate a reply to my email. Thanks for any help.
